Album Review: Gone Is Gone – If Everything Happens For A Reason… Then Nothing Really Matters At All
Experimental supergroup Gone Is Gone return with a strange hybrid if industrial rock and soundtrack...
Very exciting.
Who’s ready for another super group? Well, members of Mastodon, Queens Of The Stone Age and At The Drive-In have formed a new band, Gone Is Gone.
The band compromises of Mastodon singer/bassist Troy Sanders (pictured centre), Queens Of The Stone Age’s Troy Can Leeuwen , At The Drive-In drummer Tony Hajjar and keyboardist/guitarist Mike Zarin. Gone Is Gone will release their debut EP this summer in partnership with Rise Records/BMG, but in the mean time have given us a small teaser of what we can expect – watch the clip below.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Tony Hajjar says: “GONE IS GONE is a project that can live even when we are working with our other entities as well. The goal is to be able to compose remotely, if needed, on film, trailers, or on anything else that comes up… It feels good to know that all this music will see the light of day soon.”
