The latest solo track from Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton features Myles Kennedy on vocals, along with music by members of Korn and Alice In Chains.
As far as solo albums by members of famous bands go, the new album by Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton, Anesthetic, might be the most exciting one we've seen in years. After all, Mark's track Cross Off featuring Chester Bennington was so massive it got Chester back on the Billboard charts two years after his tragic passing.
Now, Mark has released another single from the album, titled Save Defiance, which you can hear below. Singing on the song is Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge and Slash's solo band. Filling out the backing band on the song are Alice In Chains bassist Mike Inez and Korn drummer Ray Luzier.

Speaking to Kerrang! about the album, Mark said that hearing his many collaborators has made revisiting Anesthetic easy to do. "I can listen to this album probably more than, say, a Lamb Of God album, because there are so many great artists on there to listen to. I happen to be writing and playing on it, but I get to hear Steve from the Black Crowes on drums, I get to hear Mike from Alice In Chains play bass, I get to hear Chester and Myles and Jacoby sing, I get to hear Jean Paul from Clutch play drums… there are so many great players and combinations of artists that don’t normally happen, that I’m a fan of that. It just happens to be in the context of my solo album."
Anesthetic is available for pre-order before it drops on Friday, March 1, via Spinefarm. The release will be followed by a U.S. tour with Light The Torch and Moon Tooth, so catch Mark at one of the dates below:
