Panic! At The Disco and blink-182 set to headline When We Were Young 2025
Yes, and the rest of the Las Vegas mega-fest’s line-up is absolutely stacked, as ever, including the return of letlive.
Would much-loved supergroup +44 ever get back together? Bassist Mark Hoppus says he would love to play with them again at some point.
As we approach the end of 2019 and reflect on the year of huge rock comebacks, blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus – who hilariously took credit for My Chemical Romance's reunion – was recently asked if one of his own projects would be resurrected anytime soon.
While in Australia at Good Things Festival with Simple Creatures, Wall Of Sound quizzed Mark if he would follow in the footsteps of My Chem and Rage Against The Machine, and get much-loved supergroup +44 back together.
Of course, the band – completed by blink drummer Travis Barker, lead guitarist Shane Gallagher of The Nervous Return, and rhythm guitarist Craig Fairbaugh of Mercy Killers – have been on hiatus for quite some time now (almost 11 years, in fact), but their debut album When Your Heart Stops Beating remains a classic to this day.
And when asked about that very record, and indeed if the band will ever get back together one day, Mark replies, "Maybe – I would never say never."

The main hinderance now seems to be the fact that the guys simply haven't spoken in a while, and are all in different places in their lives: "I haven’t talked to Craig or Shane in years," explains Mark. "and I think that they have moved on in their own lives, and we’re in a different place."
Nevertheless, Mark still thinks of When Your Heart Stops Beating extremely fondly: "That album holds such a special place in my life and in my memory," he continues. "And the lyrics and the making of that album was a huge moment of me working through the death of blink-182 at the time, and that holds a really special place in my heart – so I would love to play it again at some point."
