Marilyn Manson Says His New Album Is "More Than Half" Completed

Exciting news! Marilyn Manson has confirmed that his new album – the follow-up to 2017's Heaven Upside Down – is over halfway done.

As well as revealing the progress on his new record, the God of Fuck has spoken about how he's working with country rocker Shooter Jennings on the release, having previously collaborated together in 2016.

Chatting on SiriusXM's Trunk Nation LA Invasion: Live From The Rainbow Bar & Grill (via Blabbermouth) this past Monday (April 8), Mazza said of working with Shooter: "I felt like it was a good time for a change, and I became friends with Shooter. And he's a musical genius. Shooter, he kind of reminds me of The Dude from The Big Lebowski… But we have this different vibe where I don't have to really tell him what I'm thinking. I didn't know this, but he was a fan of what I did growing up, also underneath his father, Waylon Jennings. So he adds a completely different element."

This news follows his Instagram post in March stating that he was on his way to the studio to finish the record with Shooter. So things are sounding very promising indeed…

Fingers crossed we can hear new music ahead of Manson's upcoming summer tour with Rob Zombie. Currently, the pair are asking fans which song they should cover together next.
