Spitting Glass: The band on next year’s Download line-up with no music out
Like PRESIDENT in 2025, Download Festival are featuring a band on next year’s line-up – Spitting Glass – who haven’t released any music yet…
Rising alt.metallers Mallavora will release their debut album What If Better Never Comes? next March, with “scathing” single Waste out now.
Mallavora have just announced their debut album, What If Better Never Comes?.
Arriving on March 27, 2026 via Church Road Records, the news comes hot off the heels of singer Jessica Douek’s recent appearance on the brilliant new series of The Celebrity Traitors, with the vocalist using her talents in the banshee challenge.
Looking ahead to equally as exciting endeavours, Jessica enthuses of the band’s first full-length, “This record is a conceptual exploration of sickness – personal and societal – and it’s given us the space to express our experiences of difference in new and expansive ways. We hope its vulnerability, and the message it carries, brings comfort and catharsis to anyone who’s ever lived inside emotions too complex to name.”
Mallavora have also just dropped killer new single Waste, which “confronts misogyny and the impossible expectations placed on women. It’s scathing, sharp and almost gleeful in its indictment of this pervasive societal sickness.”
