The new Machine Head album, Catharsis, has finally been given an official release date. It will be the ninth studio album from the metal heavyweights and it will be out through Nuclear Blast on January 26.
“This album is like a movie… a really long movie!” says vocalist/guitarist Robb Flynn. “There are a lot of special songs on this record. I’ve never really felt like, ‘Wow, we’ve got something really special here!’ before, but this time I can feel it. I know it. I know some people aren’t gonna dig it and that’s always the case, so who cares? I dig it."
On top of that, they've revealed new track, Beyond The Pale, from the upcoming LP, which you can listen to below:

Machine Head will be touring Catharsis worldwide next year. There will be no supports however, just two and half hours of pure, non-stop Machine Head.
