Following February’s deluxe edition of her 2024 debut album falling for robots and wishing i was one, LØLØ has just unveiled a brand-new single.
Her brilliant latest track goes by the name the devil wears converse, and arrives ahead of this summer’s mega support slot with Simple Plan (plus 3OH!3 and Bowling For Soup) as the Canadian pop-punk kings celebrate their 25th anniversary.
Speaking about the meaning behind the devil wears converse, LØLØ reveals: “I wrote this about that dangerously troublesome type of person who walks into the room and makes you forget every healthy decision you’ve ever made. They smirk at you and suddenly you’re like, ‘Morals? Never heard of them.’
“I always thought the devil would be easier to spot – like… horns, tail, red eyes – but apparently he wears Converse, ’90s band tees, and makes me forget I have self-control. Woops.”
