Album review: Unto Others – Never, Neverland
Spooky Oregon goth metallers Unto Others master their dark art on third full-length…

Portland goth-metal ghouls Unto Others have released the first new music from their as-yet unannounced third album, being teased to emerge later this year.
The track, Butterfly, is a typically sunglasses-at-night banger from Gabriel Franco and his troops of gloom, with a surprisingly positive spin in the lyrics.
"[It's about] being put down, putting others down, and putting yourself down," the band explain. "There's so many people in the world who grow up being told they are not good enough, and as an impressionable kid or teenager it's easy to believe that. Then they grow up and tell their children the same, and perpetuate the cycle of mediocrity.
"It takes someone to say 'No' for the cycle to stop. To say, 'No, I can do it. It doesn't have to be the same as before. I can make something new of myself, my life, change myself, and in turn change the world.'"
