New UK band Malice have just shared a killer single called Flayed
Lord.
The track is only the band’s third ever – following previously-released tracks Underneath
and Abhor – and it also features a guest spot by Dream State’s Jessie Powell.
“Writing Flayed Lord was in a time I was struggling to sleep at
night and also finding it hard to cope with certain things that were happening
in my life,” explains vocalist Josh Davies of the song. “The Flayed Lord himself is a metaphor
for all the bad. The first person character is in denial of this, until the
point of self-realisation that he is what he sees and no matter where he goes
he will always be followed by the Flayed Lord who represents his trauma.
“Having my heart on my sleeve is where I become my most
vulnerable and I’m proud to have shared this song with Jessie and our fans,
thank you for listening and thank you for supporting! We will see you all soon.”
