Album review: FIDLAR – SURVIVING THE DREAM
LA punks FIDLAR deal in chaos and contemplation on fourth album, SURVIVING THE DREAM.
California punks FIDLAR aren’t pucking around on Move On…
FIDLAR are dropping songs everywhere ATM. Last month, after what felt like ages away, the California punks returned with Nudge. Now they've unveiled another newie, Move On, which appears on the soundtrack to EA hockey game NHL 24.
Sadly, it isn't about big Canadian dudes ramming into one another on the ice. Instead, it deals with the loss of friendship and realising when its time to make like the title says.
"Move On is a song about a break-up,” says frontman Zac Carper. “I noticed that everyone kept saying, ‘You just gotta move on, dude.’ And it just seemed like such a stupid response. I wish this song was about a romantic relationship but it's more about the friends that come and go in your life. Best friends turn into ‘used-to-be-friends.’”
