Listen to Foo Fighters’ Chris Shiflett’s lovely new single, Overboard

Chris Shiflett has shared an extremely lovely new single, Overboard.

Taken from his upcoming solo album Lost At Sea (due out on October 20 via Spinefarm) the Foo Fighters guitarist light-heartedly describes the tune as “a middle-aged love song”, referencing the lyrics: ‘No little voices down the hall / Distracting us at all, oh no.’ “All the parents out there will understand!” he says.

Chris adds of how it came together: “My favourite songs are the ones you don’t have to labour over. Sometimes you have those magic songwriting moments when your pen can barely keep up with the words and it all spills out really quickly. Somehow they always just sing and play better, looser, freer.”
