Last Hounds and Jason Aalon team up for killer new single, Just Play

Last Hounds and Jason Aalon have teamed up for an absolutely killer new single, Just Play.

Taken from the band’s forthcoming STRNGEWRLD EP – which is due out in full on January 16, 2026 – the track is about “that moment when you’re done swallowing other people’s bullshit,” according to vocalist Mikey Skelcher. “The leaders, loudmouths or anyone who talks big but never feels the consequences. Eventually you stop pretending, stop nodding along, refusing to stay silent and spit back enough!”

“We’ve always said how much we’d love to have Jason on a track,” adds bassist Ben Taylor. “But it really came to life once we spent some time on the road together and we all just clicked! In the end it felt very natural.”

Jason himself enthuses: “I don’t know what I’m more excited about – the fact that this song gives me that feeling of authentic punk meets melodic excitement or that I get to experience said excitement with some of the most genuine people I’ve met in this game in quite some time. Probably both. Go listen to it.”
