Lamb Of God's Willie Adler had a guitar and bass stolen during their stop in Phoenix.
There's a special place in Hell for people who rob musicians on tour, but most of all for thieves who steal custom or one-of-a-kind instruments. Everyone from IDKHOW to Billy Corgan has been a victim of this repulsive crime. Now, American groove metallers Lamb Of God are dealing with this tragedy, as guitarist Willie Adler has announced on social media that two of his favorite, one-of-a-kind instruments were stolen from the band during their recent stop in Phoenix as part of Slayer's current US tour leg.
Willie posted the following image to his Instagram, with the caption, "ATTENTION ALL...and particularly in the Phoenix area. My main beloved Warbird, along with @jayceerva one of kind hand painted bass; were stolen early Thursday morning from @akchin.pavilion in Phoenix. The pieces of shit that did this are suspected to be employed by @akchin.pavilion. local hands that were working Wednesday, our tour production day. Apparently, they waited around for all to leave, and made their way into the back of our semi to commit this felony. AGAIN..under the watch of @akchin.pavilion and their security. Karma is a fuckin bitch..."
What an awesome instrument. What a fucked-up shame. The theft is especially messed up because Lamb Of God are currently in the process of writing a new album, so the loss will surely be hard-felt.
If you're a metal fan or a pawn shop owner in the Phoenix area, keep your eyes peeled for Willie's guitars. And if you're the human skid mark who stole these guitars, know that everyone at Kerrang! hopes you get struck by lightning.
