The Prodigy and RAYE are headlining Boardmasters 2025
The first wave of bands for next year’s Boardmasters has been revealed, and The Prodigy are one of the headliners!
A mural of The Prodigy frontman Keith Flint has appeared in Hackney.
A mural of the late Prodigy vocalist Keith Flint has been unveiled in Hackney, east London, to mark World Suicide Prevention Day – which takes place tomorrow (September 10).
The incredible artwork – based on a photo by Rahul Singh – perfectly depicts the fire-starting attitude of Keith, who passed away in March 2019 at the age of 49. It also clearly shows the Shout 85258 mental health text support service.
The mural was painted by street artist Akse and commissioned by the Manchester-based mental health and music festival Headstock, after the crowdfunding campaign reached over £10,000.
If you want to go check out the mural for yourself, it's on the side of the Hackney Co-Operative at 62 Beechwood Road, which is just a stone's throw from the Four Aces Club on Dalston Lane, the site of The Prodigy's very first gig back in 1991.
Speaking about the mural, The Prodigy's Liam Howlett said: "Respect to everyone for coming together to make this happen for a cause so close to us. Akse has done Keef proud."
Akse is responsible for other powerful murals across the UK, including those of Marcus Rashford and George Floyd. He also worked with Headstock last year to create a mural of Joy Division's Ian Curtis for World Mental Health Day.
