K! Exclusive: Our Hollow, Our Home Premiere New Video In Moment

Today, Kerrang! proudly premieres In Moment, the brand spanking new music video from rising British metal gang Our Hollow, Our Home.

This is the second single from the band's new album In Moment // In Memory, which is set for release through their own label Hollow Music on October 19.

We caught up with the band to find out a little more:

"Our Hollow, Our Home – to put it simply – are five guys who found friendship and solace through writing music. Formed in 2013, our sound is fundamentally a mix of melodic metalcore and post-hardcore. Imagine putting the sounds of Parkway Drive, Fightstar, A Day To Remember and Architects into a blender with a hint of the Lord of the Rings soundtrack and that's basically what you would get!"

And on the meaning behind In Moment guitarist and vocalist Tobias Young explains:

“I lost my father to an aggressive form of lung cancer last year and writing music became my coping mechanism. In Moment was one of the first songs we completed for the record and it tackles the raw disbelief and doubt in the wake of something terrifying, and something we feel will hopefully be relatable to everyone in some way, shape or form. As a track, we feel it’s a great song to showcase the new album, as well as serving as a gateway into all things Our Hollow, Our Home, so if you haven’t heard of us before, this is the place to start.

"The video is our representation of a classic poem, (written by an anonymous author) and is an interpretation of life and death and how their interactions may play out on their meeting. It shows a nativity of the infancy of life and how we have to learn to accept that death is a part of the journey, and isn’t something we need to fear, but instead learn to accept.

"We have endeavoured to put our heart and soul into every aspect of our music. Writing and performing as Our Hollow, Our Home is and continues to be a cathartic experience. It's an opportunity to reflect on what life has thrown at us over the years. The band has been a way for all of us to channel some of our darkest emotions and battles with our own personal demons in a positive manner.

"Throughout the years, we have been blown away, time and time again, by the unwavering support of our incredible fan base. The responses and reactions from all around the world to our music and lyrics, and stories they share on how these songs have helped them on their own personal journeys have proved to be extremely heartwarming and a real driving force in keeping us grounded and focused on taking this band as far as we can. Team OHOH is and continues to be a safe and welcoming place for us and our fans to express ourselves in our own way.
