From the end of January and throughout February, Good Charlotte will be hitting the Europe and UK for some of their biggest shows to date – including a huge night at London's Alexandra Palace.
Frontman Joel Madden has revealed that he's been set the task by the rest of the band in picking the set list for the shows for the first time in 23 years… and he wants fans' help! Head on over to his Instagram account and reply with the song you'd like to hear live at a show.
A while back, we asked Joel and brother Benji to rank Good Charlotte's records, with iconic second studio album The Young And The Hopeless coming out as their joint favourite. “When you listen to every other pop-punk record at the time, we put a lot of effort into the different sounds and it felt like it broke some boundaries. I take a lot of pride in the craftsmanship,” Joel told us, before listing their remaining discography.
Last year's Generation Rx was second-from-top, with the frontman adding: “We’re more us than we’ve ever been. We’re stronger and more focused. We’ve found a way back to those kids who made The Young And The Hopeless and to integrate those kids with the grown men we are today. We found a way that they can help and teach each other.”
Presumably he'll want to play lots of material from those two full-lengths, then…
