Hard rock legends Aerosmith have retired from the stage due to Steven Tyler’s ongoing vocal injury.
The Aerosmith guitarist gives fans health update following hospitalisation at the weekend.
Aerosmith legend Joe Perry has updated fans following a reported collapse backstage after a gig at Madison Square Garden last weekend.
The guitarist made a guest appearance at a Billy Joel show in New York City, for a performance of Walk This Way. After the gig, Perry suffered from a shortness of breath and was "treated backstage by paramedics who gave the guitarist oxygen and used a tracheal tube to clear his airway before taking him to a hospital", according to a spokesperson.
Last night, the guitarist took to social media to say that he was "doing well" and thanked fans for their love and support.
The guitarist is due to begin a 10-date tour with Aerosmith bandmate Brad Whitford and Extreme vocalist Gary Cherone at the end of the month.
