Thirty Seconds To Mars partially reschedule UK and European tour
Due to “the SAG-AFTRA Actors’ strike and subsequent delays in Jared’s filming schedule”, Thirty Seconds To Mars have pushed back some of the dates of their Seasons World Tour.
It doesn't look like the Thirty Seconds To Mars frontman's Joker will get a standalone film after all.
Warner Bros. have reportedly put a potential Joker origins movie on hold, according to a new report by Forbes.
While Variety had revealed last year that Jared Leto would be getting his own Joker film following the release of 2016's Suicide Squad (he was also originally set to serve as executive producer), those plans have seemingly been changed.
According to Forbes, Suicide Squad's follow-up is now going to act "as a sort of soft reboot to some extent, and is expected to have a new cast of characters and avoid direct tie-in to the first film's events".
They also write that "the Mad Love-type Joker and Harley Quinn film has also fallen by the wayside, as has the solo Joker project for Jared Leto's version of the character from Suicide Squad".
Hmm.
Oh well, at least we got this song out of Suicide Squad, anyway…
In June last year, it was announced that Jared would be playing a vampire in upcoming Spider-Man spin-off Morbius, The Living Vampire – so at least we'll get to see him in that.
The movie is based on the character of 'living vampire' Morbius who first appeared in 1971 comic Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1, and is directed by Daniel Espinosa, who made 2012's Safe House and 2017 sci-fi flick Life.
