Ithaca announce split and final “wake” celebration gig
“There’s been no falling out, but it’s the right time…” say Ithaca as they announce they’re calling it a day.
Watch Ithaca’s Marie Antoinette-inspired new video for Camera Eats First, which asks: “Are you devouring or is the camera devouring you?”
Ahead of the release of new album They Fear Us, Ithaca have shared another brilliant new single.
Entitled Camera Eats First, the track comes accompanied by a powerful Marie Antoinette-inspired video, with the band explaining: "With this video we're using stark contrasts to create a sense of pure unease – rococo indulgence meets clinical experiment, luxury with grotesque gorging, beauty with violence.
"The discomfort is designed to hold up a mirror to ourselves; in an era of self-surveillance and constant presentation, who is in control, who is the aggressor and, ultimately, are you devouring or is the camera devouring you?"
They Fear Us is due out on July 29 via Hassle – watch the video for Camera Eats First below:
