Ithaca announce split and final “wake” celebration gig
“There’s been no falling out, but it’s the right time…” say Ithaca as they announce they’re calling it a day.
Ithaca are hitting the road for the brilliantly-named Y’all Fear Us tour, and they’ve also released a new music video featuring Ed Gamble.
Ithaca have announced their first-ever U.S. tour, and released a new music video to mark the occasion.
The band say it’s a “bucket list” thing to be touring the States later this year, as they prepare to cross the pond for some headline shows in September and October, plus a couple of mega-fests like Louder Than Life and Aftershock.
They’ve also just released a new music video for Fluorescent from last year’s excellent They Fear Us album, featuring a guest appearance from the one and only Ed Gamble.
“Fluorescent is the song on the album that comes from the deepest well of pain and raw sadness, but is one of the easiest to listen to,” they say. “To reflect that, we made a video referencing pop singers of the ’70s, who masked their trauma in the softest focus. A huge thank you to our guest MC, Ed Gamble, who’s generously supported this band and what we stand for years.”
