Having recorded several new songs for Darren Aronofsky’s Caught Stealing, IDLES have unleashed Rabbit Run ahead of the film’s premiere next month.
IDLES have just unveiled Rabbit Run from the Caught Stealing soundtrack.
The Bristol punk heroes have penned several new songs – as well as recording composer Rob Simonsen’s score – for the forthcoming Darren Aronofsky film, and are giving fans a preview of what’s to come with this new track, along with a lyric video featuring footage from the movie.
Caught Stealing stars Austin Butler, Regina King, Zoë Kravitz, Matt Smith, Liev Schreiber, Vincent D’Onofrio and more. Via Pitchfork, Darren Aronofsky explained why he picked IDLES for the music: “I built Caught Stealing to be a roller coaster of fun and wanted to supercharge the film by main lining a punk sensibility.
“I don’t think a band has really been tasked with performing a score for a movie. Who better to collaborate with than IDLES? It has been a dream watching them bend their notes to blast a hole in our movie screen.”
Caught Stealing hits cinemas on August 29. Watch the video for Rabbit Run below:
