Latest Download festival weather update: 10:45am Thursday June 13
While we've mostly just been thinking about how many amazing bands we're all going to get to see at this weekend's Download Festival, the annual "But what will the weather be like?" question has finally started to rear its head… Will we be dry in our tents? Or will it turn into a complete mud-fest?
Well, the BBC Weather reports so far seem to suggest that the weather up in Castle Donington between June 12-16 will be... mainly rainy, but with some wind and the odd smattering of fun. Luckily, the heavier rain is coming before the bands start playing on Friday (fingers crossed).
Due to the inclement weather, if you're driving to Download, give yourself plenty of time and keep an eye on the roads.
More specific breakdowns of each day are below. If you're heading up early to secure the best camping spot, you'll have to endure some rain today. Then, as the Def Leppard-headlined Friday hits, the heavy rain will turn to light rain. Which is a slight improvement, we guess.
Slipknot's big return on Saturday will also be met with light showers, and the epic comeback from Tool on Sunday will include sunny intervals. It's probably best to bring some wellies.
