Here we go! The Kerrang! Awards 2022 has just wrapped up at London’s Shoreditch Town Hall, with a ton of very special guests in attendance. Without further ado, here’s all the winners from this year’s bash…
After a two-year break due to the pandemic, tonight the Kerrang! Awards returned in glorious style – at the all-new location of the Shoreditch Town Hall in London – and it was packed with some of the biggest and coolest names in our world.
On the night we handed out a total of 14 awards (nine of which you lot voted in your thousands for), from annual classics like Best Album to fresh categories like the New Noise Award presented by Dr. Martens and The Disruptor.
We went big with our first gong tonight, with the mighty Green Day turning up to scoop the Kerang! Icon presented by Marshall. Up next – and right before they had to dash off to headline the O2 Academy Brixton – twenty one pilots won Best Live Act presented by Music Venue Trust.
After that the evening took a focus on newer talent, with WARGASM picking up the New Noise Award presented by Dr. Martens, Amyl And The Sniffers winning Best International Breakthrough presented by Blinding Talent, and The Disruptor Award going to Mimi Barks.
Before they rock London tomorrow night on the Hella Mega Tour (with Green Day and Fall Out Boy), Weezer came along to collect the Kerrang! Hall Of Fame. Then Bob Vylan were awarded Best Album for their 5/5-rated Bob Vylan Presents The Price Of Life record, while the inspirational Janey Starling came to pick up the Grassroots Awards, and Nova Twins were named Best British Breakthrough presented by MEATliquor.
Enter Shikari were on hand to collect the Best Festival presented by Strongbow Ultra gong for last year’s incredible Download Pilot, while more recent Download headliners Biffy Clyro were then awarded Best British Act presented by Dead Man’s Fingers Rum.
Poppy won Best International Act, Bring Me The Horizon’s DiE4u was awarded Best Song, and, finally, we handed out the Kerrang! Inspiration Award to Fall Out Boy.
