twenty one pilots celebrate 10 years of Blurryface: “We’ll see what’s next”
As well as new Blurryface merch and a 10th Anniversary Vinyl Coffee Table Book, twenty one pilots have been hinting at even more to come…
twenty one pilots will release their eighth studio album Breach this September, with new music coming next month!
Having just wrapped up their epic Clancy tour at The O2 in London last week, twenty one pilots have announced that their eighth studio album will be coming in September.
Breaking the news on Instagram, the band revealed that new album Breach is on its way, with lead single The Contract coming on June 12.
Hinting that it may be the closing chapter the incredible, multi-layered world twenty one pilots have built over the past 10 years, the band simply said, “hello Clancy, hello Blurryface, let’s finish this,” in reference to the track Paladin Strait – the closing track from 2024's Clancy.
Kerrang! caught up with Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun last month to dive into the end of the Clancy era and what lies ahead. We should have known something big was on the horizon, with Tyler teasing, “I guess it is kind of weird that we’re coming into this gap of nothingness that we haven’t really described yet... But I can say: it’s not nothing.”
And now we know it is indeed not nothing – it's a whole new record!
You can get your hands on the twenty one pilots Kerrang! zine now. And keep your eyes peeled for more TØP info.
