Hell Is For Heroes Announce The Neon Handshake Anniversary Tour

British rockers mark the birthday of their debut album by getting back together for a series of shows, supported by A and Vex Red.

Hell Is For Heroes Announce The Neon Handshake Anniversary Tour

Hell Is For Heroes burned bright in the early years of the 21st century. The London-formed post-hardcore crew, founded by two former members of Symposium, put out their debut album, The Neon Handshake, in March 2003 to rave reviews. In 2005, Kerrang! (oh, hi) named it the 58th best British rock record of all time. Which is to say: it’s a damn good record.

Two further albums, Transmit Disrupt and an eponymous set, followed before the five-piece called it quits – well, announced an indefinite hiatus – in 2008. Three shows came and went in 2012, Hell Is For Heroes reforming to play beside Hundred Reasons and Cable (oh, Cable, how we loved you). But now there are more gigs on the horizon.

Hell Is For Heroes will play seven shows in February 2018 to mark the 15th anniversary of The Neon Handshake – and will be ably supported on said dates by the Daniel P Carter-featuring A, and their early 00s contemporaries Vex Red.

Check out the trailer for this really rather attractive tour package below.

The older-timers amongst the K! ranks will be towards the back, hanging by the bar. But trust: we’ll be having a ball. "Get together with my old friends / Once again we breathe in the air." Bring that shit on.)
