Listen to A.A. Williams’ haunting new single, Splinter
Brit gloom queen A.A. Williams will also be playing at Damnation Festival in November…
Say hello to A.A. Williams – 2019's hottest, darkest new songstress.
London-based solo artist A.A. Williams releases her self-titled debut EP on January 25, but we've got the whole thing here for you to listen to right now.
The vinyl pre-orders have already sold out, and with good reason: her music is a journey through haunting, deep places that are both dark and intriguingly beautiful. Fans of Emma Ruth Rundle, Wovenhand and Chelsea Wolfe will have much to delve into here, and those heading to April's Roadburn Festival are in for a treat when she appears on her label Holy Roar's stage alongside Conjurer, Svalbard, Pijn and Secret Cutter.
"The writing of the EP has been and exploration of texture and form, and a way for me to begin to establish my writing style through the use of vintage tones and layered vocals," she explains. "Lyrically, there’s truthfulness and vulnerability, with an underlying introversion and melancholy."
