Just a couple of weeks now until Hot Mulligan release their highly-anticipated fourth album, The Sound A Body Makes When It’s Still, coming on August 22. Ahead of it, they've just put out brilliant new song Island In The Sun, featuring Free Throw bloke Cory Castro.
We'll surprise you all: it's expert pop-punk with heavier-than-they seem lyrics. Explaining the album title a while ago, co-vocalist Tade Sanville shares that it’s a lyric from the LP in a song about “paranoia, which is fear. With the album title, you can go the meditation route, or the horror that you are in your body, and you have to exist. You have no choice, really. Even if you plan on killing yourself, right now you exist. And that is a terrifying thing.”
Check it out.
