Album review: Halsey – The Great Impersonator
Halsey experiments and shapeshifts as she tells her most personal story yet on epic fifth album, The Great Impersonator
Halsey has revealed that fifth album The Great Impersonator is dropping on October 25 – and you can check out the artwork now…
After announcing the record’s title last month, Halsey has now just revealed a couple of verrrrrry big details about The Great Impersonator!
Today (September 4), the New Jersey star has shared the arty and very striking album cover, along with the release date of October 25.
Halsey also adds that album five was created “in the space between life and death. And it feels like I’ve waited an eternity for you to have it. I’ll wait a bit longer. I’ve waited a decade, already.”
Previously, in a trailer for the LP, Halsey explained, “When you get sick like that, you start thinking about ways it could have all been different… What if I debuted in the early 2000s, the ’90s, the ’80s, the ’70s… am I still Halsey every time, in every timeline?”
The singer added: “I spent half my life being someone else, I never stopped to ask myself: if it all ended right now, is this the person you’d be proud to leave behind? Is it even you?”
