The 50 best albums from 2011
From Mastodon and Machine Head to Foo Fighters and Frank Turner, we rank the greatest albums from the year 2011…
The much-loved crew of maximum crust look like they’re bowing out with a trio of November gigs.
After five albums, a series of EPs and split-releases, and more bloody-nose live shows than anyone could shake a particularly big stick at for an entire month of Sundays, American grindcore favourites Trap Them look to be calling it a day.
The Seattle- and Boston-based four-piece – whose Crown Feral LP of 2016, via Prosthetic, was one of the year’s best in class (I mean, seriously, listen to this monster) – posted the below on their Facebook page.
Those dates, again:
November
10: New York City, St Vitus
11: Montreal, Turbo Haus
12: Boston, Sonia
If tickets aren’t already sold out, TBH, something’s gone wrong, because these are not big venues. So if you’re keen, make with the cash and get yourself a ticket to one of these crusty finales, like, yesterday.
Listen to Crown Feral below, and do your best not to windmill around the office. Jeff in accounts really hates it when you do that.
