“Some things happening?” Good Charlotte are teasing their return

At long last, Good Charlotte appear to be gearing up to release new music – following 2018’s Generation Rx album, and 2020 standalone single Last December.

With several live appearances planned, it looks like 2025 might also be the year we finally get new music from Good Charlotte.

The pop-punk kings haven’t released an album since 2018’s Generation Rx, but have just taken to Instagram to share a photo of what looks like a music video being filmed, along with the caption, “Some things happening?” C’mon, guys, you tell us!

This will be their first new music since 2020 standalone single, Last December, which was released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their self-titled debut album. Good Charlotte will return to the stage next month for Welcome To Rockville on May 15, with other dates in Brazil and the U.S. also scheduled. Will we get to hear something new in time for any of those?! Let’s hope so…

Ranking the band’s discography for Kerrang!, the Madden twins put Generation Rx in second place, with Benji explaining, “I know every band say it about their latest one, but I genuinely believe this is the best record we’ve ever made. It’s the most cohesive body of work.”

“We’re more us than we’ve ever been,” added Joel. “We’re stronger and more focused. We’ve found a way back to those kids who made The Young And The Hopeless and to integrate those kids with the grown men we are today. We found a way that they can help and teach each other.”
