Frank Carter & The
Rattlesnakes have just announced two surprise shows.
With several more dates as frontman of none other than the Sex
Pistols this month, Frank will then regroup with Dean Richardson to play
a pair of intimate dates in October: at Brighton Concorde II and London’s
Electric Ballroom. The band will be joined at both of these gigs by Hot Wax, with tickets on sale now.
“We’ve missed you all so much,” they say, “so we’re playing two
special intimate shows – Brighton Concorde 2 on 15th October and Camden
Electric Ballroom on 16th October with special guests Hot Wax! We can’t wait to
see you.”
Of course, Frank’s on hot-as-hell live form at the moment (he always is, tbf), following his first few shows with Sex Pistols. In our review from Bush Hall in August, we said that: “The injection of fresh blood, and fresh energy, centre-stage means that the Pistols cohere as a unit, as a complete band, in a way they didn’t always manage back in the ’70s, let alone in subsequent years. Up front, by the barrier, the purity of it all is a joy to behold.”
