Fortress Festival completes line-up for 2025
Fen, Crimson Throne and more will join headliners Agalloch and 1349 for next year’s black metal bash in Scarborough.
Forteresse (and more) are coming to the “mind-bendingly good” 2025 edition of Fortress…
Following the raging success of last month's edition in Scarborough, UK metal festival Fortress has added more bands to its line-up for 2025.
In a booking that writes itself, Québécois outfit Forteresse will be bringing their excellent black metal for an exclusive show at Fortress, alongside New Zealand death metallers Ulcerate and RUÏM, the new band from former Mayhem guitarist Blasphemer. They join the already-announced Agalloch, playing their first UK show since 2015 as a European exclusive.
Speaking about their booking, Agalloch said, “We have not played England since 2015 and have no dates in Europe for 2024. This is why we are so excited to make our return to England at Fortress Festival 2025 in Scarborough. This will be an exclusive European show for 2025 and we will make it a special one! Thank you Fortress for inviting us and we look forward to meeting all of you in the near future!”
Festival boss Gary Stephenson adds, "There was only one option for a headline act at Fortress 2025. We are really excited to tell you that Agalloch will finally return to the UK after 10 long years to headline the 2025 edition of Fortress Festival. This will be a very special performance from the band and one that will be a full-year exclusive for Europe. Fortress is the new kid on the block so we are honoured that the band have chosen this event to make their long-awaited return."
The action takes place on the weekend of May 31 – June 1, 2025 at Scarborough Spa. More info can be found here.
