Following 2023’s stunning But Here We Are, Dave Grohl has revealed that Foo Fighters’ new album was “finished the other day”.
Dave Grohl has revealed that the new Foo Fighters album is all done.
The frontman made the exciting announcement onstage at the UTAS Stadium in Launceston, Australia on Saturday night (January 24), as part of the band’s Take Cover 2026 tour. Towards the end of a killer 22-song set, Dave not only told their Tasmanian fans that they’d be coming back again before his next birthday (which is January 14 – make a note for your diaries, people), but also that, “We might have a whole new record of fucking songs that we just finished the other day!”
Following 2023’s incredible, 5/5-rated But Here We Are, Foos dropped new single Asking For A Friend in October 2025, and Today’s Song back in July. They’ve got some big touring plans throughout 2026, so let’s see if they start dropping new material into any upcoming setlists…
