Five Finger Death Punch Have Settled Their Lawsuit With Label Prospect Park

Five Finger Death Punch have settled their lawsuit with label Prospect Park, as well as their former manager Jeff Kwatinetz.

In a statement to Variety, they say: “The band Five Finger Death Punch and its label, Prospect Park, have resolved their dispute and differences. The band and the label are excited to announce the release of a greatest hits album with two new songs in December 2017 and the release of a new record next year. The band is very proud of the new record and looks forward to releasing it and playing for its fans.”

Prospect Park sued Five Finger Death Punch in April of last year, with the label claiming that the metallers had breached terms concerning the follow-up to 2015's Got Your Six album.

The label alleged that Five Finger Death Punch were “shamelessly attempting to cash in before the anticipated downfall of their addicted bandmate,” also adding that the aforementioned bandmate – frontman Ivan Moody – was “placing both the future of 5FDP, and indeed his life, at risk.”

Meanwhile, an interview with K! in the summer, guitarist Jason Hook stated that 5FDP's final recordings for the label were delivered on December 31, 2016, and he was unsure about the legal situation. “Ask [Kwatinetz] why he’s suing us, ’cause we’re not sure," he said.

Confusing. Either way, we're glad to hear everything is sorted now.
