Deathcore titans Fit For An Autopsy have announced the upcoming release of their fifth full length album, The Sea Of Tragic Beasts, due out October 25th on Nuclear Blast Records worldwide, and Human Warfare in Australia.
While the band’s gradually evolving lineup is now stacked with some of the most talented metal musicians in the game, Fit For An Autopsy is perhaps best known for its lead writer and co-founding member, extreme music producer and guitarist Will Putney.
“We went into this record really focused on created more timeless music,” Will tells Kerrang!. “There’s a level of epic-ness and sense of purpose to these songs that feel more focused and powerful. I really like our last record but I feel like it marks the moment where we discovered what our potential could be, and going into The Sea Of Tragic Beasts, we had the confidence and vision to execute it better.
“From a sonic standpoint, without being too cliché, there’s a lot more variety on this record,” he continues. “Instead of throwing the kitchen sink into every song we developed individual moods and movements more completely to give them individual personalities. It’s less scattered to me, and each song takes me to a different place emotionally. It’s also really metal, really sad and aggressive and dark and intense all at once! I’m really proud of it."
