Album review: F*cked Up – Another Day
Arty Canadian punks F*cked Up turn in another curious day at the office with a sequel created in 24 hours.
Following 2023’s brilliant One Day album, F*cked Up are releasing follow-up Another Day later on in the summer…
Fucked Up have just announced their seventh full-length record.
Following last year’s 5/5-rated One Day, the Toronto titans will be releasing follow-up Another Day on August 9, and it’s confirmed to be ‘connected’ to its predecessor in a thematic sense (‘Like any parts of a bold series,’ reads the bio, ‘they’re not the same, but they’re not completely different’).
Ahead of release, Fucked Up have also unveiled new single Stimming, along with an accompanying video.
“In making the video for Stimming we tried to depict the transcendence of music from within our bodies outward to physical action,” say Fucked Up in a collective statement. “Stimming is self-soothing behaviour through repetition, and in the context of music and our band, we overcome, calm, and manifest the best of ourselves through these specific, finely tuned physical movements which create a freeing joyous place from which to bring new ideas into the world.”
