King Diamond’s Live Show Will Remind You Why You Became A Metalhead
In Brooklyn, New York, the King proves why he's the greatest showman in heavy metal, along with help from Idle Hands and Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats.
The new offering from the Portland classic heavy metallers is a spooky trip to retro heaven.

Sometimes, in this subgenre-littered musical landscape, it's good to know that there are heavy metal bands out there, making classic heavy metal. But even better is knowing that they're making music videos full of purple light, fake smoke, and the band showing off their stage moves in front of stone structures.
Thankfully, Idle Hands are here. The Portland, Oregon, gothic heavy metal quartet and director Brock Grossi of Vortex Videos have created a video for the band's new track By Way Of Kingdom that will make old-school metalheads think they've caught the raddest episode of a VH1 Classic round-up. And yet, for all the retro stage moves and moonlight beaming in through castle windows, the song's traditional sound and the video's complete earnestness make it more mean than cheese, a killer homage rather than a campy rip-off.
