Album review: ERRA – silence outlives the earth
Lower case title, upper case sound: ERRA aim for the grandiose on album seven, but the shine is more obvious than the soul.
Following previous 2025 singles gore of being and echo sonata, ERRA have been building towards their next studio album…
ERRA have announced details of their forthcoming seventh album, silence outlives the earth.
Due out on March 6 via UNFD, the record is the follow-up to 2024’s Cure – which K! described in our 4/5 review at the time as “an album that showcases the sonic power of metalcore when the genre is executed with due care and craft”.
As well as including previous 2025 singles gore of being and echo sonata, it’ll also feature newbie further eden, which is out now.
Guitarist/clean vocalist Jesse Cash explains that it’s a song that fellow six-stringer Clint Tustin started and the rest of the band “built upon in the studio. The pentatonic leaning roots the song into a lighter energy than we typically employ, and the song feels like a fresh form of expression from the band.
“We were specific about wanting the music video and accompanying visuals to reflect that lightness.”
