Are Enter Shikari gearing up for a new era?
What are Enter Shikari up to? The band have wiped their socials – which as we all know usually means something new is on the way…
Enter Shikari are hitting the road later this year with Holding Absence and The Callous Daoboys for their biggest tour yet: “I can tell you now it will be our most thrilling…”
After wiping their socials last week and therefore putting us all on the edge of our seats for their next move, Enter Shikari have just announced their biggest-ever UK headline tour.
The band will hit arenas in Nottingham, Cardiff, Hull, Glasgow, Manchester and London (twice) this November, with support coming from the truly excellent double-whammy of Holding Absence and The Callous Daoboys. Before that, Shikari will be on a headline run around Europe, and they’ve also got shows coming up in Australia in May with grandson. Busy, busy…
“November will bring our biggest arena tour ever,” announces frontman Rou Reynolds. “With a completely new show. I cannot say much yet but I can tell you now it will be our most thrilling. To get to play Ally Pally two nights in a row is going to be something of a fantasy. I bloody love that building and we will make sure we have the variety and theatrics to do the place justice. The tour also includes our biggest ever Belgian show, and first ever German headline arena show, which we’re all buzzing for.”
As is the Shikari way, they’ll be donating £1 from every ticket to Music Venue Trust to help support grassroots venues.
“We’re happy to once again be supporting the Music Venue Trust with donations from our ticket sales,” shares Rou. “We will always support and fight for grassroots venues. They mean so much to us not just because we wouldn’t have made it to where we are now without them, but because they are the great bastions of community and creativity, without which, UK culture would decay dramatically. And we’d all be left drowning in the most mind-numbing corporate pop music and pointless, AI-produced drivel.”
