Live review: Deftones, Halifax The Piece Hall
Sacramento legends Deftones deliver a masterclass in one of England’s most unique venues.
Deftones are back in the UK for the first time in three years, and they kicked off their shows on this side of the pond with a special date at The Piece Hall in Halifax.
Deftones made their return to UK stages last night (June 24) with a date at Halifax’s The Piece Hall – the band’s first show here since the summer of 2022.
Supported by High Vis, the Sacramento alt.metal kings treated fans to a truly career-spanning 19-song setlist, opening with Be Quiet And Drive (Far Away) before going into the likes of My Own Summer (Shove It), Diamond Eyes, Swerve City, You’ve Seen The Butcher and Rocket Skates. They unveiled four songs apiece from Around The Fur and Diamond Eyes, three each from Koi No Yokan and White Pony, two from Adrenaline and one each from Deftones, Ohms and Saturday Night Wrist, with a three-song encore consisting of Minerva, Bored and 7 Words.
Tomorrow night (June 26) Deftones will head to St. Austell’s Eden Sessions, before appearing at Glastonbury on Saturday, and playing a massive, sold-out date at London’s Crystal Palace Park the following evening.
Here’s everything they played yesterday – and stay tuned for our full review from the show.
