Album review: Touché Amoré – Spiral In A Straight Line
Los Angeles post-hardcore legends Touché Amoré aim for the stars again on sixth album.
Deafheaven’s iconic second album Sunbather will be getting the remix/remaster treatment, and they’ll be touring The States in celebration with Touché Amoré…
As well as playing Sunbather in full at next month’s ArcTanGent, Deafheaven are set to keep the 10th anniversary celebrations going throughout the year with a reissue and a U.S. tour.
Up first, we’ve got a remixed and remastered version of their iconic second LP on the way on November 17 via Deathwish Inc. Then they’ll hit the road with Touché Amoré in the winter for The 10th Anniversary Tour, with tickets going on sale at 10am local time this Friday, July 28.
“Honestly, Sunbather gave us a career,” says founding guitarist Kerry McCoy today, reflecting on the monumental success of the album. “Before then we were working jobs and had these grandiose dreams, but that was the record that turned us into a real band. Because of that record, we ended up meeting a lot of people around the world that changed our lives and set us on the path we’re on now.”
