“This is the saddest song on the record”: Deaf Havana unveil new single, Tracing Lines
Listen to Deaf Havana’s new single Tracing Lines, which is about “feeling like you’ve wasted so many years of your life and wondering where they went”.
“This is really a pretty sad song for me… surprise, surprise”: Deaf Havana have shared the next single from their new album We’re Never Getting Out.
Deaf Havana have just released a new single, Car Crash.
Unsurprisingly given its title, singer James Veck-Gilodi explains that it’s “really a pretty sad song for me… surprise, surprise. I wrote it whilst I was still in my previous relationship, but I knew it was coming to an end and I was full of very conflicting feelings and emotions. I didn’t really know how to navigate them without causing harm.
“It’s about that feeling when you know the magic has gone or maybe admit to yourself that it was never really there in the first place. I hope this song connects with people who are in the same situation and maybe helps them to know that there is a way through it and sometimes it really does work out for the best, however hard it may be.”
Car Crash is taken from Deaf Havana’s new album We’re Never Getting Out, which is released on October 3 via So Recordings.
