Over 40 new artists confirmed in final Reading & Leeds 2022 announcement
Cassyette, Ho99o9, Taipei Houston, Daisy Brain, De’Wayne and more have joined the Reading & Leeds 2022 line-up!
Indie-grunge newcomer Daisy Brain tackles loneliness, depression and anxiety with a heap of self-deprecation on new single Down.
Daisy Brain has announced details of upcoming EP Disconnected Happy, and shared a self-deprecating yet serious new single, Down.
"Down is a song about loneliness, depression and anxiety," explains Daisy Brain (real name Will Tse). "But the kind that is innate and subtle where it penetrates your daily life like a low drone, slowing you down and draining you.
"I wanted to capture that in a way that felt relatable and honest without being preachy. We're all in this shit together, and it's as much about the little things as the big things. Whether it's creeping anxiety about not being funny enough at parties or worrying that you're becoming more and more like your dad.
"I’ve been depressed for years, but I’ve learned that I’m still allowed to have fun. Self-deprecation is funny, life doesn’t have to be serious all the time and I wrote this song as a big eye-roll at depression – we're all in it together, even if you feel like shit."
Disconnected Happy is due out April 1. Check out Down below:
