Cradle Of Filth Made A "Guest Appearance" On Last Night's Coronation Street

The staff at Roy's Rolls in Coronation Street clearly have awesome taste in music, as in last night's episode the café was blasting Cradle Of Filth.

As Roy Cropper (played by David Nielson) was clearing up outside the joint in the clip, he points out that the employees have a rota and can each play their own music at specific times, with Cradle Of Filth being the excellent choice of his niece, Nina.

As if a mention of the extreme metallers wasn't enough, Evelyn Plummer (played by Maureen Lipman) ponders, "Well, I didn't imagine you'd be a fan of… Evil Scarecrow, is it?"

Unsurprisingly, both bands were pretty excited about their respective nods on the programme, with CoF joking, "Tonight, we made a guest appearance on #Corrie," and Evil Scarecrow enthusing, "Wow! Thanks to @maureenlipman and @itvcorrie for the mention! Life doesn’t really get any better than a mention in National TV."

This isn't Cradle Of Filth's first mention on a popular British TV show, either, having been referenced on the 2006 episode of The IT Crowd, The Red Door.
