Slipknot reveal summer 2025 European tour
Slipknot will be taking over Europe’s rock and metal fests next June, as well as playing some headline dates of their own.
At this weekend’s Knotfest Brasil, Corey Taylor unveiled a new upgrade to his throwback mask, with very creepy red lights in his eyes…
Back in April, Slipknot unveiled the incredibly cool throwback looks for all their 25th anniversary touring this year. But already Corey Taylor has mixed things up with his mask…
The frontman has shared something of an update – or should that be upgrade? – to his ’99-inspired look, now with added red lights where his eyes are (and yes, they actually work).
Corey’s wife Alicia took to X/Twitter to share a photo from this weekend’s Knotfest Brasil where the vocalist debuted the look, captioning it, “five nights at coreys heyooo.”
Alicia also told fans online more about the mask, revealing that unsurprisingly he can’t see especially well through it (“poor thing was walking like a zombie coming on and off stage”), and sharing the way it works: “Clear round plastic with red lights inside that are placed on the inside part of the eye opening of the mask”, “think like flexible plastic glasses or almost like those suctions for a shower caddy”.
Not only does it look awesome up-close, but the red lights look extremely badass onstage, too…
