Raven Records to host Paul Harries Q&A and charity print sale this Sunday
Meet Kerrang! legend Paul Harries at Camdenās excellent record store, coffee shop and alcohol-free bar this weekend, while helping to raise money for Metal For Good.
It's the second video from Corey Taylor's forthcoming CMFT solo album
Slipknot singer Corey Taylor has released the second video from his forthcoming solo album. Following the clip for CMFT Must Be Stopped, which dropped a couple of weeks ago, here the man shows that he'd be getting a noise complaint from his neighbours if he had any, and that he really needs to push a hoover around...
CMFT is out on October 2 via Roadrunner Records ā get your copy here.
Speaking to Kerrang!, he said the album was satisfying to make, because it was simple and fun to make.
āI think thatās whatās so special about [CMFT]: you can feel the real release of joy and happiness, and that kind of frenetic energy that comes with just being so fucking stoked you canāt stand it, you know?ā he considers. āIf I hadnāt done We Are Not Your Kind [first], it wouldnāt have that kind of energy.
āPeople give me shit for being this loquacious goofball ā in interviews, and in real life and whatnot,ā he says. āBut then Iām this very dark artist when it comes to a lot of my music. And yet people are like, āWell, how can you be one and the other?ā I feel like this album fills in a blank there; it ties those two sides together. You canāt have darkness without the light; you canāt experience joy unless you know what real sadness feels like; you canāt know that youāve won unless youāve lostā¦ a lot.
āAnd thatās what this is: this is me coming back up to the surface and realising that Iām in a really good fuckinā place,ā he adds. āI feel like this is kind of the missing piece of a puzzle.ā
