Slipknot reveal summer 2025 European tour
Slipknot will be taking over Europe’s rock and metal fests next June, as well as playing some headline dates of their own.
Horror legend Tom Savini has joined Corey Taylor's new movie project
Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor will be working with makeup effects/scary movie Tom Savini on his upcoming horror movie.
As previously mentioned to Kerrang!, Corey has been writing his own horror movie script that he plans on directing, and it's now been reported that his friend Tom Savini has joined the project to handle makeup effects.
Tom will be joined on the project by Jason Baker, who told Daily Dead: “I am thrilled that we are able to finally start slowly talking about the fact that Tom and I are going to be involved with Corey Taylor’s new horror movie, and that we will be handling the special makeup effects for it.
"We’re not allowed to talk about plot details or titles or anything like that right now, but I will say that the script is totally fucked up.”

Tom has previously worked on the likes of Friday 13th, Dawn Of The Dead and Day Of The Dead, but he also created Corey Taylor's latest Slipknot mask.
“My vision was about trying to create something uncomfortable – not only for me to wear, but for people to look at," said Corey of his mask. "I wanted it to feel like it was something that was created in someone’s basement – something that was made specifically to fuck with people. It’s the representation of public opinion turning on a dime – they want to tear people down for the way they live, even if they don’t really know them. It’s been liberating to embrace that side and be like, ‘Fuck you. I really don’t give a shit what you think about me, so here’s this!’”
There's no word on when work will start on the movie, as Corey is pretty busy with Slipknot for the foreseeable. Catch them on tour at one of the dates below – get your tickets here.
