Since their impressive, assured arrival in 2020, Static Dress’ rise has been nothing short of breath-taking. And with the Leeds stars recently celebrating the one-year anniversary of their incredible debut Rouge Carpet Disaster with a deluxe edition on Roadrunner, we thought it time to team up for a new merch capsule collection.
Bringing together the creative vision of Static Dress frontman Olli Appleyard and graphic designer Ezra Syahdian, Kerrang! are extremely proud and excited to unveil a death metal-inspired drop, comprised of two T-shirts, a longsleeve and a killer pink hoodie.
“It is an honour to have the opportunity to put together this small capsule drop for Kerrang!,” enthuses Olli, revealing that he used his experience and immersion in the heavy music scene to “connect something different with this band than we usually have the opportunity to do”.

“We also utilised the incredible work of Ezra to help imagine an alternative logo for the band that stays true to the roots of the scenes that we grew up in,” he adds.
“This coming together felt perfect for Kerrang!, a brand that has championed these scenes since their inception, while I used this collaboration to touch on influences that are a little further afield than Static Dress’ own style. Personally, this opened so many more avenues of creativity for me and for that I am extremely thankful.”
Detailing his approach, the singer shares that he opted to “retain the trademark Static Dress style” while also taking a look at the Kerrang! aesthetic “to create a truly unique look that I don’t feel has been explored by either side of this partnership”.
Like Olli we’re absolutely thrilled with the results. Head here to get yours, and take a proper look at everything below.
The collection is available to order now from the Kerrang! Store, which is shipping globally.
