Oli Sykes has just gotten Bring Me The Horizon’s fanbase very excited with a new – albeit brief – update.
The singer has shared a couple of selfies on Instagram with the brilliantly Northern caption “in’t studio”. It’s no secret that Oli wants to release more new BMTH material this year, but how close are we to hearing it?
In December, Oli told Kerrang! about his idea to release a deluxe-type edition of last year’s POST HUMAN: NeX GEn album. “We wrote so much for NeX GEn, there’s so many cool songs that are kicking about, and I think the world would love to hear them,” he enthused. “I would love to get out maybe a ‘director’s cut’ version of the record or something. But I’m trying to put less pressure on myself, and not promise anything!”
He stressed that he didn’t want to get people’s hopes up following NeX GEn’s now-infamous delay: “After the last record it felt like people were gonna start hunting me down and taking me for ransom (laughs). But I’m sure there’ll be new music and concerts and all that [in 2025].”
