Bring Me The Horizon have just announced a massive 23-song album, Lo-files.
The record – which is due out this Friday, July 11 – will consist of “23 lo-fi reworkings of our biggest tunes” (and let’s face it, they’ve got a lot of great stuff to choose from).
Yesterday, July 8, they began teasing the release, posting that, “We’ve collaborated with producers we love from the lo-fi scene to launch a new project where we’ve reworked BMTH songs and created lo-fi versions. These tracks are for chilling, focus, sleeping, zoning out… whatever you like.”
Interestingly, late last year frontman Oli Sykes told Kerrang! that he would “like to get new music out” in 2025 following POST HUMAN: NeX GEn, but he also wanted to “put less pressure” on himself.
“We wrote so much for NeX GEn, there’s so many cool songs that are kicking about, and I think the world would love to hear them,” Oli said. “I would love to get out maybe a ‘director’s cut’ version of the record or something. But I’m trying to put less pressure on myself, and not promise anything!
“After the last record it felt like people were gonna start hunting me down and taking me for ransom (laughs).”
Anyway, stay tuned for Lo-files very soon…
